ChillyMe	Inspirational songs & Leiber & Stoller songs w/ mentor LadyGaga May 12 2011, 10:32 AM EDT Lady Gaga was good and different as a mentor, even if just a little weird and looked like an emo clown. Much better than that Jimmy What's-his-face. I hate that guy. He loves the camera, getting in every shot he can and thinking he's all that. I really hope they do away with him next season. OK, so the remaining four performed. James did well, as he always does. Haley was criticized by Randy & Jennifer after her first song which was a Micheal Jackson song. They felt the song was wrong for her, they stated she didn't have the R&B chops to be singing that type of song and she screamed it in the end. In all fairness, hardly anyone can successfully sing a Michael Jackson song as good as Michael. He's a legend. What tarnished Haley further, were the moments after the Judges spoke where she showed anger, attitude and wouldn't even look at the camera. She definitely had a diva moment. So much so, that she still showed anger in her face when singing her second song, which was a much better choice for her. She outright glared her eyes ahead of her. In the end, the judges thought she redeemed herself with the second song. Scotty did well on his performances, as did Lauren. So, yeah, that's my re-cap of the show. Who will be the next to go? Who knows. You're welcome to share any guesses here in this thread. The strongest, most consistently good, and in my opinion the very best performer of the season, who was never in the bottom three, who was praised almost every single time and brought so much energy and metal to the American Idol stage was sent home. James Durbin never missed a beat. He beat the odds and proved himself to be a terrific performer. He truly deserved to be in the finale. Now, I find myself not caring who wins. I really don't care. I thought we had enough country idols like Carrie Underwood (A win with which I did not agree that season. I thought Bo Bice should have won) and Taylor Hicks. Scotty and Lauren are country singers and they have the bible belt on their side, so I predict they will be in the finale. Haley should be counting her blessings and thanking her lucky stars that she's still in the competition. James, you will be missed. Post reply 1 out of 1 found this valuable. This young man with all his personal problems and his wonderful committed love with his wife and son should never, repeat: NEVER have been voted off the show. He was by far the best performer and all-around singer. He likes and promtes Heavy Metal but like Jennifer Lopez said -- he can sing ANYTHING !! Tonight he started the show with Scotty and sang country and even did that well. Lauren should have gone - she is weak under pressure. The judges knew who was te best and they were clearly dissapointed with America. It proves not only in political voting, but this too, that we have an uneducated illiterate electorate. I love music like it's my soul and this was a travestty!! I will no longer watch the show this season -- it's over. And maybe never again -- and this to me was one of the best. American Idol needs to change their voting format to be fair and allow the judges of true talent to have a say/vote -- let's say one-quarter to 3/4 fans. It's a popularity contest for sure and that is the problem, a big one. It should have been James and Scotty in the final. Haley did come on at the end with two great performances and has a fantastic voice. Like James said -- he did everything he could and just got better and better each and every week. Wish he said what he really wanted to say. Like Lauren's brother said on the Windows 7Llive Messenger bit -- that he would vote again and again for two hours. Talk about stuffing the ballot box. Lauren deserves to be here, but Haley is just so dang terrible! SHE HAS NO REASON TO BE HERE. She shouldn't have made the top 24. She shouldn't have made it past auditions! James was amazing, deserved every right to be here. His performances last night were awesome. Why he got out, I will never know...but HE should have been in the finale, while Haley should have been out WEEKS ago. She should be history. Haley should feel like dirt right now that she has made it through will people like Stefano, Jacob, and even Pia have been sent home. She just needs to count her blessings...because she is not going to make it any further. And I hate Jimmy too...and GaGa. What happened to all the mentors they used to have every week? Randy Travis, Adam Lambert, Miley Cyrus...now we are stuck with Jimmy, Will.i.am, and lady Gaga...yuck. James, we will miss you buddy...and we wish you all the best with you and your family!
