Lady Gaga was good and different as a mentor, even if just a little weird and looked like an emo clown. Much better than that Jimmy What's-his-face. I hate that guy. He loves the camera, getting in every shot he can and thinking he's all that. I really hope they do away with him next season. OK, so the remaining four performed. James did well, as he always does. Haley was criticized by Randy & Jennifer after her first song which was a Micheal Jackson song. They felt the song was wrong for her, they stated she didn't have the R&B chops to be singing that type of song and she screamed it in the end. In all fairness, hardly anyone can successfully sing a Michael Jackson song as good as Michael. He's a legend. What tarnished Haley further, were the moments after the Judges spoke where she showed anger, attitude and wouldn't even look at the camera. She definitely had a diva moment. So much so, that she still showed anger in her face when singing her second song, which was a much better choice for her. She outright glared her eyes ahead of her. In the end, the judges thought she redeemed herself with the second song. Scotty did well on his performances, as did Lauren. So, yeah, that's my re-cap of the show. Who will be the next to go? Who knows. You're welcome to share any guesses here in this thread. Once we find out who goes home, I will post it here in this same thread and you will be able to share your opinions about that here as well.

James - I am so happy you are bringing back arena rock! Your performances make me feel like I'm at a concert. Hey can you sing some 80's ballads - some of my favorits are Skid Row "I Remember You" ,"Fly to the Angels" by Slaughter or "Love Song" by Tesla. Rock it out James!

Scotty had a bit of a rough start with the judges because the judges want more out the contestant's performances from here on out. Jacob also got some flack from the judges. Personally, I liked Casey's performance best. He stole a kiss from Jennifer Lopez too! He's brave. James did well early, being called the best performance of the night by Jennifer & Randy, even though his was only the second performance of the night. Perhaps you have an opinion? Let us know! The show was great tonight! My favorite performance was Casey's. His makeover was fantastic and it was very nice to see his softer side. James always rocks the house. Thia was very tender. Haley recovered nicely. What's your opinion? Share it! :)

I thought the theme was good, though I only recognized a few of the songs. James Durbin was my favorite performer of the night. I didn't recognize the song, but he did it so well, it didn't much matter. I can easily see him having a successful career regardless of whether or not he wins Idol. So, what do you think? We'd love to hear from you! :)

Someone must always go and America decided it was her time. As far as the judges not using their "Save" on her, well, it's very early in the game and there are stronger contenders for whom the "Save" would be better used, sorry to say. We bid her farewell.

Tonight's performances were good overall. Some great and some not. We would like to know what you thought of tonight's show and what performances you liked. Which was your favorite?
I liked Casey Abrams version of "A Little Help From My Friends" and my favorite performance of the night came from James Durbin and his rendition of "Maybe I'm Amazed". :)
